And Prime Minister Briceno made a point to also put out a call to the private sector to assist with the housing response:

"I just want to make an appeal to the business community that for them to be able to assist us, if they could make any donations - $100, $1,000 whatever they can give for us especially for us to build the housing stock that we need to do, to be able to feed people - we are continuously doing that. We need help of everybody."
