This evening, our colleague from Love News attempted to press Prime Minister Briceno into a response to that view. But, he refused to engage.

Here's how quickly shut down that line of questioning while offering a few brief remarks:

Reporter
"The BNTU president told us today that the CEOs allowances being reinstated was a "kick in the face" given that their overdue increments and other benefits have not been address."

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister

"I really don't want to have that discussion right now on that matter, because I feel so much differently. But I want to leave it as that. I would not comment."

Reporter
"If you had to give a comment, what would you say to that?"

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"We have already answered that. The government employees they got back their 10%. The CEOs I told them when they were signing the contract, I said you will have to sign under the same agreement that the previous government has done - the cuts that they have done and we are talking about $750 and so now that we have given back the 10% to all the workers including the teachers, it was only right to be able to give them back the $750 that we took away from them starting under the Barrow government. They still are not where they are, because they still are only entitled to 20 days of holidays and not 30 as what they usually get and they still have not been able to - in their contracts they usually get a 20%, that was cut to 15%. They still not up to 20%."

"We need to be fair and I appeal to the president of the BNTU to be fair when she would say such things."

"That said, thank you very much everyone."

Reporter
"How about the suggestion that teachers are getting fed up with the...."

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"I don't want to be back and forth over the BNTU at this time okay."
