And while many of those victims had total residential losses - how is it all adding up for the country?

The Prime Minister says that NEMO and the Minister of Foreign Affairs have quickly prepared a rapid assessment:

Hon. John Briceno, Prime Minister
"We took a guess estimate, I think it was 10 million US dollars, but we have the Ministry of Housing that is going house to house, constituency to constituency trying to look at the number that we need to come up and again the initial numbers that the Ministry of Infrastructure and Housing is

approximately 20 million dollars which would include almost literally the rebuilding of the Phillip Goldson Highway from the city up to the Haulover Bridge. That part has sunk, it has almost broken apart, so we have to fix that immediately and other parts of infrastructure that we have to do. We have to fix the supreme court - 3 buildings were damaged, a few schools were damaged, so we're coming closer to what exactly we'll be needing."
