Punishment At The Pump As Fuel Prices Soar

Belizeans are bracing for a punishment at the pump as the price of a gallon of diesel fuel is shooting up by over a dollar tonight. There's no official announcement but 7News has confirmed with fuel station owners that the increase is one dollar and 12 cents per gallon in the city - sending the price per gallon of diesel to $12.91 per gallon. In the districts, it will go over 13 dollars per gallon. Not far behind, premium went up by 73 cents a gallon last night, while regular went up by 25 center per gallon last week Thursday.

No official announcement with any explanation for these increases has been sent out.
