Reports reaching 7news tonight are that the BDF has found a massive coca plantation in the remote reaches of the Toledo District. Coca leaves, as you probably know, are the raw material for the manufacture of cocaine. Some months ago law enforcement had reportedly destroyed a lab down south - and now they are searching for another - this is reportedly in the area of Machaquilha in remote western Toledo.

The plantation seen here contains almost half a million coca plants. The presence of the coca plantation is indicative of the drug cartels' reach into the Toledo District. These plantations have also been found in Guatemala.
