And, Chavarria says a large part of that fatigue is that because, this year, as negotiations have progressed, the two sides have only gotten further apart:

"Rather than getting closer, we're just moving further and further apart. Because six weeks ago when we spoke with the subcommittee, the BSCFA was willing to do a two year agreement; we were at four; they indicated that they could probably persuade them to agree three years. And so we agreed we reduced the number of years from 4 to 3 years, and now the scope is down to one year and not only that, they won't only work on interim agreement, they want us to be two years of fair trade premiums and they want us to become the conveyor. And so they are putting new stipulations, new conditions, which for us is not achievable."
