Not surprisingly, Chavarria has a different read. He blew right past all that anxious uncertainty Patt spoke about and says all the associations - except the BSCFA - are on board:

Shawn Chavarria, Director of Finance ASR/BSI

"The other associations are certainly fully on board. Their farmers have wanted to start the crop from the 15th of December. They are fully geared up. In fact, we we've seen pictures of their farmers already burning sugar for a delivery tomorrow. So everyone's from those associations are mobilizing. We're mobilizing as well. We're ready to start the crop and we hope to see BSCFA farmers here as well tomorrow, the gates will be open for them."

Jules Vasquez
"There are farmers who are afraid to burn their fields because if you burn your fields and for some reason you're unable to deliver your. cane, you have a total loss or a significant loss. And reasons that you could be unable to deliver your cane, you know, we've seen it in the past and certainly we hope we don't see it again, but highways could be blocked, the bridge could be blocked. It has happened before. I'm not saying it's going to happen again. But these precedents are are saying to farmers, be cautious."

Shawn Chavarria, Director of Finance ASR/BSI
"I think tomorrow we'll see how all of the situation ends up developing. We know that in terms of the other associations, their members are geared up and ready to deliver their cane. We we trust that the government and the authorities will ensure that the roads are free, that they're able to bring their cane without any hindrances to the to the factory."

"At the end of the day, this is a country that is we have we have laws that's that is to protect citizens, to protect, protect private interests. And we hope that if it is upheld."
