Belize Rural South Area Rep Says Yes To Seawall

And one thing the mayor and the area rep may agree on is their position on a seawall that the Alaia Belize resort is building along 800 feet of ocean frontage on its property.

The Ashcroft Alliance owned resort has gotten the approval from Belmopan - and the area representative said that while it may be unpopular with some residents - there's a justifiable reason for it.

A release from the Alia says "Commencing on May 1st and extending through November 1st, 2024, Alaia will embark on the construction of a sea wall, ushering in a new era of opulence and leisure for our esteemed guests."
