And in other news, last week, the high court ordered the Transport Board to reconsider Serrano Bus Service's permit after it was rejected two years ago. Its route was granted to Central Transit but the Ladyville residents protested to bring back Serrano's.

Today, Tenisha Serrano, the manager of the bus line, came by our studio and explained that while they're grateful for the judgement, it's been a tough two years.

Tanisha Serrano, Manager, Serrano's Bus Service
"I was so pleased because justice has finally been served. We lost a lot of money, yes. My husband even had to go and start running dolla-van, because nothing is happening. We lost a lot. It has been tough over this past 25 months, but I'm glad that our supporters are still there and hopefully we get a chance to come back."

"Do you feel like it's causing tension, this whole thing between you guys and Central Transit?"

Tanisha Serrano, Manager, Serrano's Bus Service

"Not really, I don't believe so."

Reporter
"When they rejected the permit they cited some infractions, can you clarify those?"

Tanisha Serrano, Manager, Serrano's Bus Service
"Infractions, no one is perfect but we did our best out there and we tried our best to follow all the rules."

Reporter
"There were two protests during this time, two years ago, two different protests, what does that make you feel?"

Tanisha Serrano, Manager, Serrano's Bus Service
"That was great, I was shocked that our commuters are there for us and so they're waiting."

Reporter
"What do you think that is, what makes Serrano stand out?"

Tanisha Serrano, Manager, Serrano's Bus Service
"We're there for our commuters, we put them first and we put ourselves last."

Reporter
"You believe that if you guys are granted back the permit and Central Transit remains with their permit that you all will be able to service the same routes?"

Tanisha Serrano, Manager, Serrano's Bus Service
"We have to work together because at the end of the day it's not about us, it's about the commuters. I just want to say that I'm glad about the outcome and I just hope that we get a chance to be back to serve our commuters."

Serrano's had been in service for 8 years before their permit was rejected. The Transport Board said his permit was linked to UDP politicians which is the same that has been said of the PUP and the permit granted to his successor.
