And, never one to make a dramatic conclusion escape - Budna directly indicted the government of Belize in his recording today - again, he requested that we blur the video:
Ryan Joseph Budna, Imprisoned in Guatemala
"I want to say to the Belizean people and to the government of Belize what you have done to me is an international crime. You have kidnapped an innocent man who have not committed a crime in his country and if I did I had paid the price."
"Two days before or three days before I interviewed you Prime Minister and you were so pissed off. If you could have slapped me you would have done it when you walked up to me and said that I always criticized your government and said that instead I talk about the good things."
"It's your job. It's a government job to do the good thing. It's not my job to big you up, but I did and I told you I did. I'm not afraid. I will continue to stand for what is right. I am in Guatemala illegally."
"This is an international crime. If anything happens to me in Guatemala I ask the government, I ask the people of Belize to hold the government responsible for this. This could happen to any one of you."
"So again if you are not at fault, prove to the Belizean people by releasing those DVR from the courthouse from the Banquita's House of Culture, the library, police station, National Bank and other government building in Orange Walk Town."
