The Boledo mobile app was launched just one month ago - but it's going through changes.
The app will no longer be available for download at the Google Play Store. Those who want to get it will have to visit the web portal at "fiweboledo.bz".
And why is that? Well, it's kind of because google doesn't play boledo.
A release says, quote, "This unforeseen change comes as a result of the Google Play Store's policy restrictions regarding gambling apps. While Google initially approved the app, a further review resulted in the determination that the app involves the purchase of lottery tickets for real money; a feature that Google does not support for distribution in certain countries, including Belize." End quote.
But the good news is that Current customers who have already downloaded the app can continue to use it to purchase Boledo, Jackpot, and Ordinary Lottery. However, future app updates would not be available to those users.
And for iPhone users, there's no change and no effect, because the Apple Store DOES allow licensed apps that facilitate online gambling to be distributed in Belize.
