One man's New Year will start a little bit better than expected as he won $25,000 playing a Scratch ticket he purchased from "Tow Tow" Supermarket. When we spoke with the winner, he said it will go towards paying off his loan as well as school fees for his son.

"When I scratch and I see that how this win, I'm in disbelief. I mean, I'm one of actually correct. I double check it. I ker it da the chiney. Chiney said their scanner deh down. So therefore, I drive to the office. After I wait for a while, the boss come out, and then he check it for me, and he tell me that I win."

"What was your reaction?"

"I still didn't believe. Can I never win something so big? Normally the most I ever win for gambling is $100, $150 pan boledo. And then I just decided to buy scotch since last month, right before Christmas."

"So you come up big? Yeah."

"Well, I'll pay off my lee loan weh I got, and then pay off my son's tuition for UB. Well, I see the four symbols, right ya so."

"Yeah, once I make a straight line. But then this is the diagonal. This is for the $25,000. So when I scratch it, the last one I don't scratch, I'm going to flag this one ya. That one here. When I see that, I say, can't! When I scratch it good, I scrape off the whole thing good, and I say, that he that! So I just decided I'm going to beat it and get ready and go into the office."
