And Hyde lamented that while the content that media houses produce - whether it be the nightly news or morning talk shows - is still valuable to BTL and the cable companies - their concerns aren't being heard. And though these companies on the line might have hoped for a buyout to swoop in and save them, Hyde said that no one's coming to their rescue.

"What do you do when people act as if though you are nothing is the same thing? Because you are producing content. Then they use your content. But you don't got a lot of money, so don't bother with me. We have to sit down every day and watch money to spend on Google ads, Facebook ads and none of them are paying GST, brother. But when you come to buy ads from me, you have to pay a GST. Fundamentally, that is inequal and unjust. I don't want to get worked up on it. My brother here knows that is one of my pet things that I hate."

"Because when the hotel people them say Airbnb can't exist and not pay hotel tax, there was a response. When the media have a problem with the calamitous reality where technology are bringing to us, even before AI, nobody have a problem. Nobody got a problem that we content are one of the main reasons why somebody would want any of these local streamers when they could just get Netflix, when they could just get Firestick."

"But your news and the news and the talk shows still have gravity, still have leverage. Yeah, we will use it, but we don't want to hear your complaint. We don't want to hear your cries. That no matter."

"I tell you, today, this meeting, this little press thing, this is about we. And what we feel. And so no come and tell us about nobody no want feel their little toe pinch meanwhile I got 10 load of brick on my head. I don't want you about your little toe, brother. To hell with your little toe, to hell with your corn, brick is on my head and I am to hear you bawl. Man, let's go with you all. That is how I feel."
