Tonight, a little more is known about Belize Petrospirits, the company which allegedly tried to import diesel fuel without a permit in March.
We've already shown you the letter from the Department of Environment to Ming Pei Chen - but tonight another piece of correspondence has surfaced.
It's a letter form the Department of the Environment to Johnathan D'Silva who is named as a Director of Belize Petrospirits.
The letter from the Ministry of Finance is dated March of 2024 and informs him that they have no objection to the company getting an import permit for fuel and acting as a wholesaler.
This, and the context of the DOE letter indicate that Belize Petrospirts had been importing fuel for some time. Ming is known to own a large number of gas stations.
