The Walmart on Avenida Insurgentes in Chetumal is a popular shopping destination for Belizeans. But on Saturday an execution in the mega-store's parking lot sent a chill through the Quintana Roo capital.

In what is reportedly a cartel hit, the gunman was riding a motorcycle when he opened fire on his target.

Sources tell us that two rival cartels are currently jostling for control in the area.
