He made headlines in March when he allegedly committed the armed robbery of the Nova Scotia Bank in Corozal Town. And now ex - BDF soldier and KBH security guard Mervin Timothy Reyes is making headlines again because he's escaped from the Hattieville prison. Reyes escaped from the max area of the prison on Saturday night, reportedly after he picked the cell lock. He's been at large 72 hours now - but the prison department has yet to issue a formal release or circulate his photograph. The March robbery he was remanded for is an interesting case, in which he passed the head teller a note, showed her a gun, and got her to hand over 12 thousand dollars in cash. On the day before he pulled off that Corozal robbery, he had escaped from Orange Walk Police, where he was being detained for stealing 17 thousand dollars from BEL. Well he's escaped again, and police and prison authorities do not know his whereabouts.
