Employee Charged For Stealing From Employer

And in another case of an employee turned against the company he once served, 27 year old Rico Vasquez, 27, of #91 Albert Street, has been charged for "burglary" and "handling stolen goods" from "Delta Store," of the same address. The allegation by the police is that sometime between the 19th to 20th of July "Delta Store" was burglarized, and they believe that the culprit is Vasquez who lives above "Delta" and who should be the proprietors' eyes and ears during the night. The premises were broken into and $1,200.00 in cash was stolen along with approximately $7,000.00 plus in speakers and other electronic equipment. Perhaps what made the accused the prime suspect was that he knew and showed the police where the stolen goods were stashed. The accused was granted bail of $4,000.00 and the matter was adjourned until September 3, 2002.
