Man Drowns In Pickwick Club's Pool In Early Morning Escapade

It's a members only club, but early this morning, a man who is not a member died in the Pickwick Club pool. At 2:40 this morning, 29 year old electrician Emilio Martin was with his female friend, 25 year old Beverly Luriano, and the two went to take a dip in the Pickwick pool. The pool is closed at this time, even to members, but Luriano, who was a former employee, allegedly used her connection with the security guard to get in. Ten minutes later, Martin dived into the deep end of the pool and suffered a head injury which caused him to drown. He was taken out by the security guard but a B.E.R.T. team that arrived at 2:50 a.m. pronounced him dead. A post-mortem has not yet confirmed the cause of death or whether alcohol consumption may have been a factor. Martin had a wife and children.
