Police have two men in custody who attempted to burglarize the offices of Western Union on Central American Boulevard this morning. At around 3:05, police on foot patrol noticed some irregular movements at the office of the money transfer agency located at the corner of Mahogany and Central American Boulevard. The patrol team saw two men, Carlton White Webster and Kirk Smith behind the iron shutter trying to break open a glass door. A search turned up a pair of keys, one used to open the building's outside shutters and the other to open the glass door. The men were subsequently detained and a search of Webster's premises turned up a lap top computer that had been reported stolen from the Western Union offices. Of note is that Webster is a former employee of the company and his former boss says he should have known that the office he was trying to get into was almost empty:

I visited the CIB office and was able to identify one of the two suspects who were ex-employees of ours, am, and it's kinda disappointing because not only do we have a situation of internal activities happening with employees but it makes us very suspicious of everybody that we hire, period.

So, you think this young man used his insider knowledge of what he thought he knew to go on, ah, what should have been a big heist?
Kenny Cherrington
Well, you know, employees have this idea that there is just bundles and bundles of cash rolling around which is absolutely untrue because that location is only used for reporting purposes, so, there was absolutely no cash, no equipment there and our locations are not where we keep cash.
Jules Vasquez
He should have known that.
Kenny Cherrington
Well, he should have but I guess he was behind the eight-ball, he didn't really know. We have moved.
Both men, deportees, are in police custody pending the result of their investigations.
