Accused of the unthinkable - sodomizing a 15-year-old boy - Police Constable Mark Tucker is tonight sitting behind bars at the Hattieville Prison after he was formally charged with committing an unnatural crime.
As we first reported, the 28 year old police officer was arrested after the mother of the 15 year old victim reported that PC Tucker was paying her son regular visits. The minor backed up that story and told police that during October of last year, Tucker invited him to go fishing. The boy further told investigators that tucker fondled and then sodomized him.
Tucker appeared alongside his attorney Simeon Sampson in court this afternoon who requested bail arguing that this is merely an accusation and the prosecution did not object to bail. But magistrate Margaret Gabb-Mckenzie pointed to the age of the victim, only 15, and denied tucker bail. He was remanded to the Hattieville prison until his next court appearance on March 23.
