He was accused by police of stealing $113, and charged in the court with stealing $18, but now a Novelo's bus company freight clerk will have to pay a $1,000 fine.

Hallet Castillo today appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-Mckenzie where he 'fessed up to his crime. The 22 year old was charged with theft and false accounting for changing a $20 receipt to $2. He pled guilty to the charge of theft after telling the court that he only stole the money because he was hungry and Novelo's did not give him his food allowance.

Castillo has until April 29th to pay the $1,000 fine or he will face 1-year in prison.
