Last night we reported on the case of 19-year-old Andrew Castro who depending on who you listen to was either pushed or fell out of a 25-foot skiff on his return trip from Caye Caulker on Sunday night.

Last night the family was hopeful that the young man would have been found in good health, but their hopes were dashed when sometime after 2 yesterday afternoon the teenager's body was retrieved from the waters off Caye Chapel. His death is now a matter of fact, but family members still do not know exactly what happened.

Andrew's Family Member,
"He was found at about 2:10 yesterday afternoon. The body was decomposed. I wouldn't say beyond recognition but it was decomposed."

Alfonso Noble,
"Where was it found?"

Family Member,
"According to my understanding it was found near Caye Chapel."

"The doctor's report says he was drowned but the family feels it was more than just drowning. I personally feel so too. It's very hard too and I feel like I am the only person strong enough to talk right now. We are taking it very hard. It's a shock. All we ask is for information because we do not think it's just a drowning."

A post mortem conducted on Castro's body certified the cause of death as drowning but the family disputes that conclusion. The body was brought in to Belize City this morning at around 1 and was buried one hour later because of the state of decomposition.
