Convicted of quadruple murder, they are the most notorious killers in recent history, and Patrick Robateau and Leslie Pipersburgh have been sentenced to hang.
But they want another chance and today Pipersburgh and Robateau filed appeals in hopes of saving their necks from the hangman.
Pipersburgh and Robateau's appeal will most likely be heard when the appeals court sits in June. The papers were filed today but no lawyer was identified. Their past attorney Linsbert Willis has indicated that he will not continue to represent them.
Today was the deadline for the appeal as they had 21 days after their sentence to formally appeal and if they hadn't they could have been hanged.
