21 year old Frank Vasquez appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-Mckenzie to answer to charges of burglary.
Vasquez who made his way to court with tubes sticking out of his groin area told the court that he had been shot by a police officer. But the police have not confessed this, and in fact no one has said how Vasquez got shot. Nonetheless Vasquez told the court he was shot by a policeman by the name of 'Puga' even after he gave himself up.
The police's version is That they were called out to Pelican Street at around 12:30 on June 4 where they saw Vasquez running away from an area where they had found a VCR in a black plastic bag.
In court today Vasquez was granted bail of $2,000 and the case was adjourned until July 28.
