Yet another dead body has been found and again, murder appears to be the case.
Sometime after 3:30 this afternoon police were alerted to the body of a man in the Belama Phase 3 area. When they arrived on the scene police found the body of a man identified as 33 year old Steve Thompson also known as 'monster.' The body was lying outside the driver's side of the car with apparent gunshot wounds to the head.
This afternoon we spoke to area resident Hugh Bodden who says he became concerned when he realized that the house where Thompson lived was opened and no one was around.
Hugh Bodden, Found body
"At about an hour ago one of my friends came and asked if we didn't see this guy come through this morning. I told him I didn't see anyone pass through this morning and so we decided to go over to the area and see what happened because the house door was opened. We went and saw that the car was there. We decided to take a walk and when we took a walk we found him by his car. He was lying down in the same position that the policeman they found him; face down. The car door was opened and a cap was on the side."
Alfonso Noble,
Noticed any injuries on him?
Hugh Bodden,
"Well I didn't go close by to see if he had any shots or whatsoever but that's what I found. After that I went and called the police."
"It was about 8:30 last night a little before the rain we were working. I was fixing the alternator on a van and I heard the gunshot but I didn't pay it any mind. We thought that it was something else, not a gunshot. So that is the reason why we didn't pay attention to the shot that we heard."
"I am very much concerned as I have been speaking to Miss Usher about what's taking place in Belama 1,2,and 3. It's really important to me that something is done."
We understand that Steve Thompson was the caretaker of the house, which he occupied. The owner of the house is Ashton Burgess who resides outside Belize. Notably, this is the 7th, murder reported this month.
