A Belizean female athlete performed commendably in the NCAA track and field championships which were held last week in Texas.
Competing against the best young women in U.S. track many of them Athens bound, Emma Wade placed second in her heat on Thursday with a time of 22.05. In Saturday's final she came in sixth with a time of 22.08, which is just 0.18 of a second off Marion Jones' best time for the 200 this year. Wade who runs for South Carolina University is a senior there, and according to reports is expected back home this week.
