His motive is still a point for speculation but tonight police say they are dead sure that despite his denials Errol Haynes pulled the trigger and shot his girlfriend in the face Monday morning.
The 19-Year-old was arraigned in court today on charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. As we reported on Monday, (Girlfriend Shot in Face by Boyfriend in Jealous Rage) 27-year-old Crystal Woodeye was rushed to the KHMH suffering from a single gunshot to her right cheek. The bullet was removed during emergency surgery.
While Woodeye recovered, police were questioning Haynes who denied pulling the trigger. Witnesses however told police that shortly after the shooting Haynes was seen apologizing to Woodeye. Woodeye was treated for her injuries at the KHMH while her boyfriend is sitting in jail tonight awaiting trial on those charges. Haynes' next court appearance is July 20th.
