Teenager Charged for Cayo Murder

Police have gathered enough evidence to charge a teenager for the chopping death of 22 year old Rodney August. 19 year old Eliseo Salazar Jr. appeared in Magistrate's Court in San Ignacio where he was charged for the crime of murder and was remanded to the Hattieville Prison.

Yesterday we reported (Chopped to Death in Cayo)_that a 20-year-old female companion who was swimming with August at the time, had also been detained by police but she was released when she agreed to cooperate.

Evidence shows that Eliseo snuck up on August and the young lady as they sat on the bank of the Macal River and chopped him to the back causing an injury that caused his death 9 hours later.
