While a 13 year old boy recovers at the khmh from a severe beating he received a couple of weeks ago, police have caught up with the man they believe attacked the teenager. Today 31 year old Ernest Roy Billary was taken to magistrate's court on charges of indecent assault. He appeared before chief magistrate Herbert Lord where Billary pleaded not guilty.
After strong objection to bail by the prosecution Billary was remanded to the Hattieville prison until November 4th. Billary however told the court that it was not him who attacked the boys that it was his brother Alfred. Because of the nature of the accusation against him, when he was taken to the detention cell Billary was attacked by some of the detainees. He had to be removed for his own protection.
The main complainant against Billary is Stanwell's younger brother, a 12 year old, who told the police that Billary had invited him and his brother to the cemetery to smoke a marijuana joint. Instead of giving them weed however he assaulted them sexually. No charges have been brought against Billary for beating the 13 year old, as he is yet to recover from the beating he received on September 29th. Noteworthy is that a letter was presented to the court stating that Billary is psychopatic and schizophrenic.
