He is the former poster boy for Youth for the Future who was extradited from the United States to Belize earlier this year to face charges of rape. But while the disgrace may not be behind him, for the time being: jail is. That's because Goldburn Adolphus is out on bail. He appeared today before Magistrate Dorothy Flowers where he was indicted to stand trial for the rape after he accepted a paper committal.
The 33 year old is accused of raping a woman back on July 20th of 2002 whilst working for Youth for the Future. Adolphus was extradited two months ago. Adolphus will stand trial for the rape in the January session of the Supreme Court and until then he is out on $5,000 bail.
