Two Injured in Cayo Shootout

Two men are in critical condition after a shooting over the weekend in Santa Elena town. At 2:30 on Sunday morning, Kevin Diaz and Victor Olivera reportedly went to 27-year-old Henry Baptist's home to pursue a dispute. Things escalated and Baptist pulled a pistol and shot both men at close range. They are listed in critical condition at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan, while Baptist was today charged with two counts each of attempted murder, dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. He appeared in court today and because it is a firearm offence, he was remanded until December 16th.
