A former cop who had sex with an underage girl and then brutally beat her will do some serious time for his horrible crime. Jason Flores, who was extradited from the United States earlier this year, was found guilty on Thursday in the Supreme Court of unlawful carnal knowledge, use of deadly means of harm, and grievous harm.
In court evidence showed that on January of 1999, Flores picked up a 10 year old girl whom he knew and took her to a jetty where he proceeded to have unlawful intercourse with her. After, court documents show that Flores then took a metal pipe and beat his young victim. Flores was arrested shortly after the incident and while on remand at the Hattieville Prison he escaped.
He returned earlier this year to pay for his crime and Thursday in the Dangriga session of the Supreme Court, temporary judge Simeon Sampson sentenced the ex-cop to 15 years for carnal knowledge, 10 years for use of deadly means harm, and an additional 5 years for grievous harm. The sentences are to run concurrently so Flores will spend 15 years in jail.
