In case you missed the uniform parade on Sunday, this is Youth Week. It's being celebrated under the theme "the future lies in the wisdom of the old and the strength of the young" and will feature talk show appearances, concerts, and sporting events. This evening on the serious side the youths are engaged in a forum on youth and politics: how does one affect the other. One youth who is sharing his opinion is Herbert Wiltshire who sits on the Governance Improvement Commission.

Herbert Wiltshire, Youth Forum Participant
"Most young people have the mentality that all the politicians liad and they say a whole pile of thing but at the end of the day it will be a different story. But what I think most young people are failing to realize is that like it or not if we stand back and allow them to do foolishness and don't say nothing that we will get the after shocks of it. And I believe what we need to have as I said before is more youths advocating for youths whereby they can stand up and say 'listen Mr. Prime Minister this is what we want' with no fear, cold, straight talk. Because if we beat around the bush we won't get nothing done. We need to be straight to the point with whatever we need to get done and I think that is what we as young people need to do."

No events are scheduled for Tuesday and activities resume on Wednesday with youths conducting community service.
