Police have arrested 4 men, including a 15-year-old minor, for ransacking and stealing from a primary school last week. Last Thursday morning the principal of Ephesus 7th day Adventist School told investigators he found the school burglarized with 7 computers missing. Police investigations led to 6 of the stolen PCs and the arrest of Steven Lemoine and the minor for burglary and handling stolen goods and Charles Smith and Jose Cawich for handling stolen goods. Today in court, Smith pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months in prison.
And police are also investigating the burglary of a computer and television from the Sunshine Day Care and Pre-school over the weekend. The school's principal Marilyn Young told police that sometime between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon the culprits made their past the burglar bar door and into the school's learning center on Regent Street and raided the items from within.
