Fatal Knock Down in O/W Town

A 25-year-old woman is dead and a 47-year-old man has been charged with her death. At around 6:30 on Monday evening police were called to an area between miles 61 and 62 on the Northern Highway where they observed the lifeless body of Ivoria Palma of San Jose Village in the Orange Walk District. Police investigations revealed that Palma had alighted a bus at the said area when she was hit by an oncoming white pickup truck traveling towards Orange Walk town. Police have since charge the pickup's driver, Everisto Verde with manslaughter, driving without due care and attention and causing death by careless conduct.
