A man was stabbed to death in Belize City this afternoon and both the victim and the attacker are yet to be identified. Police were called out to the corner of Welch and Gibnut Street where they had to pick up a bleeding Hispanic man from off the ground and transport him to the KHMH where he died. Our cameras were also on the scene shortly after and here's what we've gathered so far.

Alfonso Noble Reporting,
A blood stained bicycle, a blood stained bag of fried chicken and a bloodied street were what remained for police officers to pick up on this afternoon at the corner of Welch and Gibnut Streets where a Hispanic man was stabbed numerous times and left there to die. One area resident who wished to remain anonymous told us that sometime around 2:30 she saw another Hispanic man running from Gibnut Street onto Dolphin Street.

Area Resident,
"Me and my friend were sitting by the bench on Dolphin Street and we saw a Spanish man with a gray hat, white shirt, and black pants, but like the pants was faded. He ran passed us but you could have known something had happened because he looked frightened. So we said maybe somebody had chanced him but when the police they passed, he didn't stop them so we said must have had something to do with something. Then a man passed and told us that a man around here was bleeding to death and we came to see. When we came we asked the man on the ground who did it and he pointed this way so we said the Spanish man must have had something to do with it. Because he just went up Iguana Street and if it was his friend he would have come back and check. If it was young boys or so they would have gone with the man's bike but the bike was still here so it must he have had something to do with it. A young boy, Spanish boy, was on the ground and when they took him his eyes were still open and he was still breathing and thing. He wasn't dead yet."

Alfonso Noble,
You help put him in the vehicle?

Area Resident,
"Yeah. The Policemen took him in the back of the vehicle because we told them instead of leaving him down there to dead, they should take him and get him help. So they picked him up, still left him face down, and took him in the vehicle. He had on a black pants, black shirt, and a brown thing like tennis on his foot."

The man was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. He is yet to be identified but is described as being of Hispanic descent with a mustache and being somewhere between his mid 30's and early 40's. As for the second Hispanic man reported at the scene, police have since picked him up but they are yet to determine if he was the one who attacked the deceased. For the residents of the area, the attack in broad daylight seems uncalled for but for our eyewitness she says she just had to come in to help the dying man.

Area Resident,
"You can never know what will happen to you later on. Big day right out here and nobody wants to talk and say what they saw. Some young girls over there said they saw but they don't want to talk. If you see what happened to somebody then talk because can die leaving their children and thing behind."

Police still have not identified the victim and are still questioning the other persons seen fleeing the scene.
