Senior Citizen Carjacked in King's Park

A man was car jacked in broad daylight in the King's Park area yesterday. Boisrand Panton was driving his vehicle on St. Matthews Street when he slowed down at the intersection of princess Margaret Drive. That's when a gunman snatched open the driver's side door and jumped in. He then fired a shot into the air and ordered Panton to hand over all his money, which amounted to $225. The robber then forced Panton out of the vehicle and he drove off. The vehicle was found a short distance away on St. Charles Street. Panton says that in addition to the money a small parcel that was inside the vehicle was also stolen. Police presently have no suspects.
