Tonight police say the death of a 9-year-old boy in a sand tunnel was nothing more than a tragic accident.

On Wednesday, San Roman Villager Onix Correa was building a sand tunnel, which collapsed and trapped him beneath it. He suffocated and his 12-year-old brother discovered his lifeless body a few hours later. A post mortem has confirmed that Onix died of asphyxia due to the inhalation of sand.
