Its called the 'Unity Culture Festival' but it'll be more like a big 114th birthday celebration to commemorate the memory of Emperor Haile Selassie, the spiritual and symbolic cornerstone of the Rastafarian movement. The festival will be held tomorrow night at the City Center and will feature a marathon of performances from local music outfits including Heights A Vibes and Hot Wire cliques. Louie Ganzie is organizing the event and he says there is no reason why you shouldn't attend since admission will be free and the performances will speak for themselves.

Louie Ganzie, Festival Organizer
"He is our imperial God and King. We give him the honor and the glory up there you know. So all Rastafarians who know the faith and the religion who know about the fullness are welcome. Even though those who don't know yet the fullness can come in and see the fullness of what we are dealing with in Rastafari. You don't have to be a Rastafarian to come to the show, you are welcome because it is just for black people in total. It is for the King Ethiopia, the King of the World, the King of Zion."

The show begins at 7 pm and runs through to midnight at the City Center and again admission is free.
