Police have not yet arrested anyone in connection with the July 12th armed robbery of Scotia Bank's Branch in Dangriga but they say they are getting closer.

Dangriga police have charged 47-year-old John Faux of Placencia Village and 26-year-old Andy Anthony Pryor of Steadfast Village in Stann Creek with abetment of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Police say that on March eleventh of this year, a group of men including these two banded together, armed themselves and were on their way to rob the bank when the attempt had to be aborted.

The men were taken before Dangriga Magistrate's Court where they were offered bail of 10 thousand dollars each plus two sureties of $5,000. They are to reappear in court on September 15th of this year. No plea was taken as the matter is indictable.

While the charges stem from an incident on March 11 police believe this is the break they have been waiting for in cracking the July 12 robbery in which over $100,000 was stolen from the Dangriga Scotia Bank branch.
