Fish Farm Worker Electrocuted

A 15-year-old fish farm worker was electrocuted in a lightning storm at Fresh Catch Fish Farm in La Democracia on Tuesday. At about three in the afternoon, Wilbur Calderon was working in one of the ponds when a lightning storm descended on the area. Lightning struck the pond and Wilbur was hit. But he did not die instantly; he was briefly resuscitated, but died on his way to the Belmopan Hospital. There are reports that another worker in the pond with the teenager was injured but survived.
