Corozaleno Critical after Cactus Club Stabbing

A Corozal man is in critical condition at the Northern Regional Hospital and police have detained two persons they believe had something to do with his stabbing. At around midnight on Saturday police visited the Corozal Hospital where they found 20 year old Corozaleno Emmanuel Villanueva with two stab wounds to the stomach. Villanueva told police that he was at the Cactus Club with a friend when a group of persons started to fight with his friend. He interceded and thought the argument had ended but on his way home the same group of men ambushed him and one of them stabbed him. Police have detained two persons pending charges.
