They swept the King and Queen Contest a week ago and, on Saturday, Erotic Mas Band and Jump Street Posse marched to victory in the carnival road march. Erotic Mas Band took first place for the seniors and Jump Street Posse did the same for the juniors. Saturday's road march was the culmination of months of planning, thousands of dollars, bushel-fuls of design and planning and bucketfuls of sweat. And at the end, all that details was left to play in raunchy, raucous fashion on the city streets. Here is a recap of the road march which was broadcast live, right here on Channel 7.
It began with last minute preparations as the bands lined up on Caesar Ridge Road.
Reveler #1,

"I feel hype."
Reveler #2,

"Excited, I'm ready to dance."
Reveler #3,
"Right now our group is excited, we're ready for this, and just waiting

to get out there and have fun. We are already the kings and queens so we're just waiting to get through this."
Reveler #4,

"I'm am hyped right up."
And at 3 pm the road march set off onto Central American Boulevard. The juniors were first, followed by the seniors:

A carnival full of color, energy and that road march intangible: spirit, enough to convince us that finally, you can call it a comeback.
For the seniors Erotic Mas band took $4,500, Mother Nature's Creation took home $2,000 for placing second, and third place went to the defending champs Southside Masqueraders. For the juniors, Jump Street Posse took home $3,500 for their first place finish and Black Pearl who placed second took home $1,500.
