Two security guards were held at gunpoint and tied up at the Municipal Airstrip last night.
46 year old Isaac Opohr and 47 year old Jean Fitto Luc told police that they were on duty at the Maya Island Air freight office at around 10:30 last night when a blue Mazda pickup truck pulled up to the area and three armed, masked men exited the vehicle. They robbed the guards of their personal belongings and tied them up. About a half an hour later they managed to free themselves and found that two buildings had been burglarized. Several packages were opened and searched while the office area was also entered and ransacked. Police are investigating the matter and are urging anyone with information to call the crime stoppers hotline at 0-800-922-tips.
