When Godfrey Coote spoke to 7NEWS in September, he was still recovering from a vicious beat down put on him by two women who were taking revenge for an 8 year old stepsister that he had allegedly performed oral sex on. Coote maintained that he had been framed by the child's mother. Well, despite what he says, Coote has been found guilty of aggravated assault. But he didn't go to jail for the heinous offence, instead Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord fined him $2,000.
The women who beat him down weren't so lucky: in September they were charged for attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm and remanded to prison for a month.
