They were supposed to have been sentenced today, but the Hyde brothers, Clifford and Russell, will have to wait another two weeks before they are sentenced for killing a man outside a Belmopan nightclub. On December 22 of last year, both brothers were convicted for the June 2004 stabbing death of Allyson Castillo outside the Déjà vu nightclub.

Presiding Judge Troadio Gonzalez scheduled the sentencing hearing for this morning but attorney for the brothers Ellis Arnold told the court he had difficulty locating character witnesses for the two convicts. Sentencing has now been rescheduled to the afternoon of January 16th. The brothers were charged with murder but the jury opted for the lesser count of manslaughter.

Clifford and Russell's brother Dennis Hyde and their cousin Delvin Galvez were acquitted of both murder and manslaughter by the same jury.
