Police say results of a post mortem prove that Police Constable Donald Gillett used justifiable force when he killed a man armed with an Uzi submachine gun. The post mortem on George Frazer showed that he died from a single gunshot, not five as his family and witnesses claimed.

Frazer was killed on New Year's Day. He was gambling in a yard when he got into a war of words with a friend. Constable Gillett heard the exchange and saw Frazer leave. He also saw Frazer return armed with an Uzi. Police claim Frazer fired two shots and in turn Gillett fired one shot which wounded Frazer. He later died at the KHMH. Police also note that Gillett was in uniform and was on duty at the time of the incident. The gun he used was his private firearm.
