He made an indecent proposal to a 10-year-old little girl and tonight 20-year-old Bascola Balon is sitting in jail for it. Balon was charged with two counts of indecent assault for allegedly asking a ten-year-old girl to touch his genitals.
The girl told police that last Thursday she was walking home during the lunch hour when Balon picked her up and took her to his Tigris Street home where he asked her to touch him. She refused and the girl said on Monday of this week Balon picked her up again and took her to his house. She again refused his request. The girl adds that Balon threatened to kill her if she told anyone. But yesterday the 10 year old told her mother who told police.
Balon told the girl he worked at Tony's Store on Baymen Avenue and that's where investigators found him yesterday. The girl identified him and he was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of using threatening words. Magistrate Margaret Gabb-McKenzie denied Balon bail and remanded him to the Hattieville prison until February 28th.
