Police Bust Stolen Car Ring

Acting on a hot tip, police believe they have busted a car theft ring - after recovering two cars in the area of Dangriga Town. Both the cars are Toyota Camry's and they are believed to have been stolen from Belize City. One of the cars was found in Dangriga Town and is an older white Toyota Camry, with Stann Creek license plates and a VIN number which has been tampered with. The other was found on the outskirts of the town where they found a grey Camry that had its VIN number filed off. Police reportedly also found, the scraps of another car, also a Toyota that had been stolen from Belize City. Police have detained tow men in Belize City in connection with the find. They are still trying to match the cars to the original owners but with missing VIN numbers that will prove difficult.
