The danger of one of the cities fastest, widest and most hectic intersections was highlighted today. Just after noon, there was a massive three car, one cycle pile up at the corner of St. Thomas Street and princess Margaret Drive. Police have not released the names and were just putting together the statements to determine what happened when we called around 5:00 pm.
What we do know is that the primary impact involved a taxi which was on Princess Margaret Drive. That was broad sided and flew across the median into the lane of oncoming traffic on the other side of Princess Margaret Drive. That caused a secondary crash, which damaged the other car. The person who received the worst injury was a man on a small motorcycle which had its wheel crushed. He was taken to the KHMH but authorities would not disclose his condition.
